The Peninsular War
Repeated Skill Checks
If a skill check is repeated multiple times in an attempt to attain the desired result, the DC of the check will raise dramatically with each successive attempt.
For example, if a Sleight of Hand check with DC 10 is made and failed during a game of cards, then an attempt to use Sleight of Hand a second time will be met with a DC 15 check. After another failure, the third attempt's DC would be DC 20, and so on.
In cases where there is no reason for skill checks to become increasingly difficult after failure (Such as Perception checks), the GM may choose to mandate that only one check can be made per person.
